The last thing you want is to think of your retirement years as a roller coaster, but let’s face it, sometimes it feels that way.

And that’s in normal times, but in today’s world it’s even worse.

  • Out of control inflation
  • Supply chain problems
  • Russia’s invasion of Ukraine and near-daily threats against the West
  • A harsh political climate that doesn’t inspire any hope
  • $30,500,000,000,000+ US Debt
  • The recent stock market drop
  • And the very possible recession that’s right around the corner

You were probably feeling good about your retirement up until a year ago. You were headed up the roller coaster.

Then maybe you began to feel a little uneasy. It was that moment on the coaster right before the drop.

And now, if your plan isn’t in place, you probably feel like that roller coaster is in freefall, and now you’re just hoping the engineers remembered to make the track go back up at some point.

Plan

How do you plan anything in an environment like this?

How do you know your advisor knows how to plan anything in all of this? Do you really know enough to evaluate their plan and be confident in it?

This Isn't A Dinner Seminar With A Sales Pitch

And this is where you’d usually expect to be asked to schedule an appointment with an advisor “for a quick strategy session” or to “get a second opinion.”

But you know as well as we do that it would just be another sales pitch.

That’s not what this is.

How Much Money Will You Need To Retire?

Everyone’s needs and wants are different, but income is the most important aspect of retirement planning. So how do you know how much income you’ll need to live the way you want? And more importantly, how will you generate that income?

Social Security Maximization Strategies.

This is a common topic in retirement planning seminars, so if you’ve been to one you’ll have heard a lot of this before. But since this is an educational class and not a seminar, we’re going to go into more depth than you’ve heard before. It's no longer as simple as "just take it at 62" and many people who do live to find they can't get off the roller coaster.

Tax Planning Strategies.

Income is the most important part of retirement, but if Uncle Sam takes it all because he can’t manage his debts, you’ll be in trouble. We’re going to cover retirement tax strategies you can use today to lower your tax liability and keep more of your hard earned income for yourself.

Minimizing Market Risk

If you’re invested in the market, the roller coaster analogy is probably hitting pretty close to home right now. There are ways to minimize the market’s effect on your retirement portfolio without sacrificing the upside of the market, and you need to know how.

Retirement Plan Distribution Options

One of the biggest mistakes we see retirees make is when they begin pulling money out of their retirement plans (401k, IRA, 403b, etc.) for income. The wrong in how and when to pull that money can often set your retirement back years. We’ll show you the facts, your options, and let you know what you need to consider before choosing how to take your money.

How to Pass on Assets to Your Heirs

You can’t take it with you, but at least you can give it away to the people and causes you care for the most. And if Uncle Sam isn't on that list, not to worry.  If done incorrectly, you can set your heirs up for years of legal battles. If done correctly, you can create a legacy you’ll be remembered for.

And Finally, How to Evaluate Financial Advisors

If you’re nearing retirement age, you’re no doubt getting offers from financial advisors offering to help you plan your retirement. How do you evaluate their knowledge and skills? How do you know they’ve got your best interests in mind? We’ll give you the questions to ask and the answers you should expect.
